support our work

empower + catalyze youth leadership

help us empower the next generation of climate leaders, social impact practitioners, and young professionals.

see past partnerships here

this is why your support matters:

the climate crisis demands urgent action—but young people are told it's their problem to inherit without being given the tools to address it. only 6 of 13 Canadian provinces include climate education in their curriculum. meanwhile, 78% of youth report climate anxiety, yet only 25% see their career as a way to take action.

Project Arrowroot bridges this gap. we provide free, accessible climate education and professional development to high school students across BC and Canda—with a focus on equity-deserving youth who face the most barriers to accessing green careers.

when you support our work, you're not just funding a program. you're investing in:

Project Arrowroot group activity

a student from a low-income family gaining tailored mentorship they couldn't otherwise access

Project Arrowroot informational booth

a first-generation newcomer youth receiving support on pathways to post-secondary education that their parents may not be sure how to provide

Project Arrowroot presentation

a young person transforming climate anxiety into climate agency, and turning an idea into action

ways to support:

where your support goes:

1.  by the numbers

pilot cohort 1:

  • 9 Youth Activators served across Metro Vancouver
  • 8 comprehensive workshops delivered on climate action + professional development
  • 100% of participants reported feeling more confident in planning their next academic/career steps
  • 9 micro-internships completed with green industry professionals
  • 3 school districts reached through direct outreach

2.  what our Youth Activators say

"The micro internship was great, especially because I got to talk to someone who had a full time job other than my parents. It was really valuable to gain more insights on what types of programs and career paths there are here in Vancouver."

-pilot cohort 1 youth activator

"I will probably recommend this program to my friends. It has a lot of insightful advice for high school students, even if you're not planning to work in sustainability. It also gives you access to a lot of opportunities."

transparency + accountability

we believe in meaningful transparency about how funds are used. as a by-youth, for-youth organization, we keep overhead minimal so maximum impact goes directly to the young people receiving and delivering our programs.
